Kyla MacGinnis, RN, BScN, MN, is an accomplished clinical nurse specialist and co-founder of BuildAble™, Canada's only nurse-led accessibility design and renovation company since December 2013. With a strong commitment to community health, Kyla serves as a clinical instructor and professor at the University of Ottawa and previously held roles as a faculty advisor and clinical nursing instructor at Algonquin College. Kyla's extensive experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for The Ottawa Hospital and The Brewery Market, as well as founding the Ottawa Seniors' Expo to support seniors and caregivers. Additional consulting roles covered various health-related projects, with earlier experience in public health focusing on outbreak management and infection control. Kyla holds a Master of Science in Nursing Science from Athabasca University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa.
