Kyle Briggs

Kyle Briggs is an accomplished scientist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in solid-state nanopore technology and academic research commercialization. Currently serving as the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa, Kyle previously conducted research as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Vincent Tabard-Cossa's lab. As the CEO and co-founder of Northern Nanopore Instruments, Kyle successfully guided the company to acquisition by Oxford Nanopore Technologies. Kyle has actively contributed to the scientific community as a speaker at various prestigious conferences and workshops, presenting on topics such as DNA reading and the future of protein sequencing technologies. Kyle holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics and an Honours BSc in Physics-Mathematics from the University of Ottawa.
