Ryan Doherty

Ryan Doherty is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in application development and systems programming. Currently serving as a Senior Application Developer at the University of Pennsylvania since April 2010, Ryan has contributed to the VEuPathDB project by creating and maintaining infrastructure software for biological data-mining websites, as well as transitioning legacy systems to modern service-based APIs. Previous roles include Senior Systems Programmer in the Neuropsychiatry Research Department, where Ryan enhanced the software development ecosystem, and Senior Software Developer at Health Market Science, focusing on Master Data Management and workflow software. Ryan's career began at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Software Engineer, designing large-scale simulation software. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Dickinson College.
