Marion Picard

Marion Picard is an Assistant Professor at the University of Perpignan, France, since September 2022. Previously, Marion served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique from January 2020 to February 2022, focusing on Amphioxus research at BIOM laboratory. Marion has also worked at MIVEGEC on the ERC CODOVIREVOL project, studying codon usage preferences, and at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, investigating molecular mechanisms of gonochorism and sexual dimorphism in non-model species. Marion's academic journey began with a PhD focused on parasitic flatworms at the "Host-Pathogen-Environment Interactions" laboratory, and earlier, Marion completed master's degrees in Biomedicine and Molecular Biology, as well as a bachelor's degree in Animal Physiology and Neurosciences.
