Bharat Bhushan, MS, PhD, DABT, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh since July 2019, having previously held the position of Research Assistant Professor at the same institution. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from September 2016 to June 2019, focusing on drug-induced liver injury, fatty liver disease, liver cancer, and regenerative medicine. Bharat's earlier research experience includes work as a Doctoral Researcher in Toxicology at the University of Kansas Medical Center from August 2010 to June 2016, where a novel murine model to study acetaminophen hepatotoxicity was developed. Additionally, Bharat contributed as a Senior Research Associate in Chemical Safety and Regulatory Affairs at Evalueserve from July 2008 to June 2010. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Kansas Medical Center, an MS in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, and a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research.
