Lee Shearman is a lecturer in BA (Hons) Illustration at the University of Portsmouth since September 2018. In addition, Lee is the founder of Micro Library Books, an independent publishing platform that specializes in pocket-sized, limited edition books and packaging, established in January 2012. As a co-founder of Borbonesa, a collective of visual artists, writers, and musicians, Lee contributed as co-editor and illustrator for notable publications including ‘The Occasional Paper,’ ‘Turtle Soup,’ and ‘Emitron.’ Previous experience includes co-managing the Permanent Bookshop, which focuses on artist's books and printed items, from May 2003 to April 2012, and serving as a Creative Practitioner for Creative Partnerships, delivering workshops in publishing, design, and ICT from January 2009 to January 2011. Lee completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education at the University of Portsmouth in 2023, and holds a fine art degree and a City & Guilds qualification in Music Technology/Sound Engineering.
