Ri Kathryn Vani Lcsw (Kate)

Kathryn (Kate) Vani, RI LCSW has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and organizations. Kathryn (Kate) currently works as an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and Career Resources for the URI Foundation & Alumni Engagement. Previously, they served as a ParentCorps Educator at NYU Langone Health and as a Forensic Social Worker at Comprehensive Family Services. Kathryn (Kate) also held positions as a Social Worker Co-Teacher at ROSALYN YALOW CHARTER SCHOOL, an Early Childhood Behavioral Health Consultant at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services, an Early Intervention ABA Social Worker at TheraCare, and a Coordinator for Domestic Adoption at Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Full-Time Childcare Provider for a private family and as a Preschool Co-Teacher at Imagine Preschool. Kathryn (Kate) also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Rhode Island, working on various projects related to sleep and technology use in college students, alumni surveys, and literacy beliefs and practices of parents with young children living in poverty.

Kathryn (Kate) Vani, RI LCSW obtained a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree in Clinical Child and Family Studies from Fordham University, completing their education between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Human Development at the University of Rhode Island from an unknown start year to 2011. Kathryn (Kate) also holds an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from the Community College of Rhode Island, which was obtained between 2007 and 2009.

During their education, Kate Vani also obtained additional certifications. In 2014, they completed the Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment Training Course. Kathryn (Kate) is also licensed as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), although the specific year of obtaining this license is unknown.
