Angelica-Mae Valerio is an experienced educator and program manager with a strong background in secondary science and STEM education. Currently serving as a Student Teacher Supervisor at the University of San Francisco and a Program Manager for STEM Education Professional Learning at KQED, Angelica-Mae has also contributed significantly to the Oakland Unified School District as both an Induction/Intern Mentor and Science Instructional Coach. With teaching experience spanning multiple educational settings, including high school and middle school, Angelica-Mae has held various roles from Life Science High School Teacher to Teacher Education Field Supervisor at Mills College. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Events at Mamacitas Cafe, focusing on social enterprise and workforce development for young women of color, as well as research fellowships at the University of California, Berkeley and Genentech. Angelica-Mae holds a BS in General Biology from the University of Washington and an M.Ed in Secondary Science/Biology from UCLA.
