Niels Koehncke

Niels Koehncke is a Professor specializing in Occupational Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, a position held since August 2000. Koehncke provides clinical consultation in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and serves as a faculty member at the Canadian Centre for Rural and Agricultural Health, where Jurgen was also the past Director from 2012 to 2022. Previously, Koehncke worked as the Chief Occupational Medical Officer for the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety from August 2000 to March 2019. Koehncke holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and the FRCPC designation in Occupational Medicine, both earned at the University of Alberta.
