Anna Benrick

Biträdande Professor at University of Skövde

Anna Benrick is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in biomedical research and education. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg since 2010 and as a Biträdande professor at The University of Skövde since 2019, Benrick specializes in the molecular connections between androgen excess and reproductive disorders, obesity, and type-2 diabetes in females. Additionally, Benrick has a strong focus on metabolic issues in women with polycystic ovary syndrome, particularly regarding insulin resistance and adipose tissue function. Previous roles include postdoctoral positions at the Garvan Institute for Medical Research and the University of Gothenburg, as well as a comprehensive educational background with a Master's degree in Bioscience from the University of Gothenburg. Benrick has also contributed significantly to course quality assurance in the biomedicine department during the tenure at The University of Skövde.
