Gregory Hardy

Gregory Hardy is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Public Relations Coordinator for the University of South Carolina’s Health Sciences and STEM Divisions since July 2023. In this role, Gregory focuses on storytelling related to faculty research and its impact on communities. Previously, Gregory held various positions including Marketing Director at EMpanel Online, Marketing Communications Specialist at the Darla Moore School of Business, and Content Strategist for the South Carolina Association of CPAs. Additional experience includes freelance copyediting at SmartBrief, serving as a Story Lead at PwC, and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina. Gregory’s earlier roles also encompass work with the South Carolina Emergency Management Division and FEMA, in addition to a long tenure as a Universal Desk Specialist at The State newspaper. Gregory holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies and a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida.
