Samuel McQuillin

Samuel McQuillin currently serves as the Director of the School Psychology PhD Program, Associate Professor, and Director of the Youth Empowerment in Schools and Systems Research Lab at the University of South Carolina, positions held since June 2016. Previous experience includes an Assistant Professor of School Psychology at the University of Houston from 2012 until June 2016, and a School Psychologist Intern at Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District in 2011-2012, with a focus on working in a district serving over 100,000 students. Early career roles at the University of South Carolina from 2007 to 2011 involved serving as a Statistical Consultant and Data Analyst, as well as a Co-Instructor and Graduate Teaching Assistant for various graduate-level courses. Samuel McQuillin earned both an M.A. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2012, following a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology from the same institution in 2007.
