Susan Bonk Klie

Susan Bonk Klie is an experienced professional in budget management, finance, and grant administration, currently serving as the Director of Budget and Finance at the University of South Carolina since July 2017. Prior roles at the University include Interim Director of Budget, Finance and Grants, and Manager of Budget and Fiscal Affairs. Susan also has a background in grant management as Grants Manager at Health Sciences South Carolina, and as Business Manager and Grants Coordinator at the University of South Carolina’s Center for Research in Nutrition and Health Disparities. Additionally, Susan owned SBK Consulting, LLC, providing grant research and management expertise to non-profit organizations. With previous experience in education and exhibit planning at EdVenture Children's Museum and Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Susan has a robust background in informal education and program development. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education and Bachelor's degrees in Zoology/Animal Biology and Secondary Education from Connecticut College.
