Thany Dykson is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Oceanography at the University of Southampton, starting September 2024. Prior experience includes serving as an ER and Surgical Veterinary Assistant at the Pet Emergency and Referral Center and as a Sea Turtle Nesting Technician at Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Thany has also contributed to the UN Environment Programme as part of the CMS Aquatic Species Implementation Support Team and worked as an Au Pair and English Teacher with AuPairWorld. Previous roles include working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Smith Lab Colorado State University and engaging in various ambassador roles, alongside participating in a meta-analysis on Human-Bear conflict management under the guidance of Stewart Breck at Colorado State University. Thany's internship experience includes a position at Conservation International focusing on Conservation & Sustainable Development. Academic qualifications consist of a degree in Fish, Wildlife, Conservation Biology and Spanish, along with Global & Environmental Sustainability from Colorado State University.
