Andrea Hamilton

Andrea Hamilton is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in Structural Engineering Materials at the University of Strathclyde since May 2013. Previously, Andrea served as the Director of Research in Civil and Environmental Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from April 2014 to January 2015 and held the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at the Royal Society of Edinburgh from February 2013 to November 2014, where Andrea was also a Fellow of the RSE, Young Academy of Scotland. Additionally, Andrea worked at the University of Edinburgh from November 2005 to May 2013 as a Research Fellow and Lab Deputy Director, focusing on the development of Materials Characterisation Laboratories and specializing in polymers on surfaces, mechanical properties, strain measurement, tyre-ice friction, built environment conservation, efficiency, mineralogical analysis, and general materials characterization.
