Derek Hill

Derek Hill currently serves as the Director of Learning and Teaching at the University of Strathclyde, a position held since November 2024. Previously, from July 2012 to 2024, Derek was the Course Director for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies in the Department of Architecture, overseeing all taught programmes and serving as the Year 1 Studio Director as well as the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Earlier professional experience includes serving as Associate Director at Riach Partnership Ltd. from January 2006 to October 2012 and as an Architect at ZM Architecture from June 2001 to December 2005. Derek holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Architectural Design from the University of Strathclyde, obtained between 1995 and 2001.
