Lori McElroy

Lori McElroy is a Professor of Smart Resilient Cities at the University of Strathclyde since August 2020. Prior to this role, Lori served as Director of Housing and Energy (Scotland) and Director of Building Energy Performance and Research - Scotland at BRE from November 2015 to August 2020. Lori also held the position of Sustainable Programme Director at Architecture and Design Scotland from November 2009 to November 2015. Academic credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering focused on Embedding Simulation Modelling in Design Practice from the University of Strathclyde, an MA in Design with a concentration in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from the Glasgow School of Art, and a BSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
