Chris Marshall

Chris Marshall is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at imec the Netherlands since May 2021, focused on advances in circuitry, processing software, and systems for low-power wireless communications within the Internet of Things group, particularly in Bluetooth, UWB, radar, and photonics technology. As an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sussex since July 2020, Chris contributes to research on 5G and beyond-5G technologies. Previously, Chris worked at u-blox from March 2009 to April 2020 in various roles and served as CTO at Geotate, a company specializing in geotagging software acquired by u-blox. Additionally, Chris has extensive experience with Philips and NXP from 1980 to 2003, helping develop pioneering wireless solutions. Chris holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Imperial College London and an MA in Natural and Electrical Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
