Robert Hutton

Director Of Estates, Facilities And Commercial Services at University of Sussex

Robert Hutton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Robert started their career in the British Army as a Major and served for almost two decades.

Following their military service, Hutton joined EC Harris as an Associate Partner in 1999. Robert then moved to Pfizer in 2001, where they held multiple roles including Facilities Specialist, Facilities & Operations Services Manager, and Director of Strategic Facilities Planning.

In 2005, Hutton became the Vice President of Global Operations at Pfizer, overseeing the company's real estate and asset portfolio. Robert later relocated to Hong Kong in 2007 to establish Pfizer's Global Operations APAC presence in the region.

After leaving Pfizer, Hutton joined JLL in 2012 as the Managing Director of Integrated Facilities Management for Greater China and Korea. Robert was responsible for developing strategic direction and operational advice for over 120 corporate clients.

In 2018, Hutton joined AECOM as the Vice President of Management Services Asia Pacific, where they expanded the company's services offering in the region.

Most recently, in 2019, Hutton joined the University of Sussex as the Director of Estates, Facilities, and Commercial Services.

Robert Hutton attended The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst from 1981 to 1982. Prior to that, they studied at Allhallows School from 1975 to 1980, and The Downs School in Wraxall, Bristol UK from 1970 to 1975. Robert later participated in the British Army's Advanced Command and Staff Course in 1994.
