Eleni Alexiou

Eleni Alexiou serves as a Researcher PhD Student at the University of the Aegean, investigating the connections between wellness, wellbeing, and sustainable tourism, particularly in island destinations. Alexiou has held multiple roles as a Research Fellow, contributing to projects focused on sustainable development in Greek islands, formulating operational plans for sustainable tourism strategies in the Ionian Islands, and reforming tourism education in Greece. As the founder of WellnessTales, a company promoting sustainable living and responsible travel, Alexiou also has experience in adult education, content writing, and consulting for various organizations. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of the Aegean, a BSc in Journalism & Mass Media Communication, and qualifications in Exercise and Health, Sports Nutrition, and Nutrition Sciences.
