Raphael McGowan

Raphael McGowan is an experienced professional with a strong background in event organization, marketing, and education. As the Founder of bakslap since March 2017, Raphael passionately advocates for sun safety following a personal loss to melanoma. Additionally, Raphael serves as a Sessional Teacher and Industry Fellow at the University of the Sunshine Coast and manages paid media for The Laundry Lady, contributing to brand awareness and revenue growth. With a history of involvement in the melanoma community through events and speaking engagements, as well as previous roles like Partnerships Manager at the Clontarf Foundation and Procurement Consultant at SAP, Raphael combines expertise in business management and marketing, supported by an educational background in Business and Event Management from the University of the Sunshine Coast and TAFE Queensland.
