Catherine Soehner is an accomplished academic professional currently serving as Associate Dean for Research and Director of the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library at the University of Utah since September 2011. Prior roles at the University of Utah include Interim Executive Director and Associate Dean for Research and User Services at the J. Willard Marriott Library. Before joining the University of Utah, Catherine held the position of Director of Science & Engineering Libraries at the University of Michigan from December 2006 to November 2011, and served in various capacities at the University of California, Santa Cruz, including Head of the Science & Engineering Library. Catherine’s career began at the National Library of Medicine, where roles included Grateful Med Coordinator and NLM Associate. Catherine holds a Master’s in Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount St. Joseph University.
