Alexa Woodward

Alexa Woodward serves as the Executive Director for the Vermont Complex Systems Institute at the University of Vermont, focusing on the development of sustainable research programs in data-rich complex systems since December 2023. Previously, Alexa held the role of Assistant Vice President for Corporate Partnerships at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where strategic corporate partnerships were cultivated to enhance research and patient care from March 2021 to November 2023. Earlier experiences include leadership positions at the University of Vermont Foundation, overseeing corporate and foundation relations from 2016 to 2021, and facilitating public/private collaborations at Clemson University as Director of Program Development from 2011 to 2015. Additional experience includes research and legal roles at CUNY School of Law and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, with a J.D. from CUNY School of Law and a B.A. from Gordon College.
