Elliot Ruggles

Elliot Ruggles serves as the Sexual Violence Prevention and Education Coordinator at the University of Vermont since February 2022, while also fulfilling the role of Advisor for EmpowR Transformation's Web of Change Makers. Ruggles has a strong background in sexual and gender-based violence advocacy, having previously worked as a SHARE Advocate at Brown University from February 2016 to February 2022, and as the Director of the Sexuality and Gender Resource Center at SUNY Oneonta from June 2013 to January 2016. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MSW in Social Work and Human Sexuality Education from Widener University, along with a BA in Sociology from Mount Holyoke College. Ruggles's extensive experience encompasses various therapeutic roles and program development aimed at promoting social justice and supporting marginalized communities.
