Justin Guinney

Justin Guinney serves as Senior Vice President at Tempus AI since June 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in computational oncology and cancer genomics research. Prior to this role, Justin held significant academic positions at the University of Washington, including Affiliate Professor and Affiliate Associate Professor from January 2019 to June 2025. Justin also contributed as Vice President at Sage Bionetworks from January 2009 to June 2021, leading NIH-funded research in cancer genomics. Additionally, Justin chaired the DREAM Challenges from January 2015 to January 2021, focusing on benchmarking biomedical AI. Justin earned a PhD in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Duke University and holds dual BA degrees in premed and history from the University of Pennsylvania.
