George E "Ned" Watson, Ph.D. serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of West Georgia since January 2017 and is currently involved with West Georgia Technical College as an Adjunct Instructor of Criminal Justice since August 2009. Watson has held various positions in law enforcement, including Chief of Police and Deputy Chief of Police in the City of Villa Rica from 1995 to 2005, as well as Police Lieutenant at the University of West Georgia from 2005 to 2016, and has also served as Interim Chief of Police on several occasions. Watson's educational background includes a PhD in Criminal Justice from Capella University, a Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Saint Leo University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of West Georgia. Additionally, Watson completed a Certificate in the School of Police Staff & Command at Northwestern University in 2016.
