Matt Varga

Matt Varga currently serves as the Dean of the Graduate School at the University of West Georgia, a position held since August 2012, where exceptional guidance has been provided to lead 90 graduate programs, engage with 200 faculty members, and support 3,250 graduate scholars. Varga has held multiple roles at the University of West Georgia, including Professor and various interim administrative positions, focusing on curriculum development, research, and graduate program management. Previous experience includes roles at the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee, where leadership in housing and higher education administration has been demonstrated. Varga holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and has contributed significantly to curriculum design and development in multiple educational settings.
