Chuanqi Chen

Chuanqi Chen is currently a Research Assistant and Research Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since September 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Data Analyst at Deloitte, where Chuanqi provided consulting for China Tobacco Hunan Industrial Corporation, utilizing PySpark for K-Means clustering and web scraping data to detect tobacco smuggling channels. An internship as an Algorithm Engineer at Nanjing University focused on machine learning and image recognition, notably achieving a 69% detection rate for abnormal electrical wires. Previously, Chuanqi served as a Teaching Assistant for an applied machine learning course at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and contributed to research on parking pricing patterns as an Undergraduate Researcher. Chuanqi Chen holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor's in Statistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
