Lasya Priya Rao Jarugumilli

Lasya Priya Rao Jarugumilli is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, involved in teaching courses related to Human Sexuality and LGBTQIA+ Studies. Previous experience includes serving as an Admissions Ambassador at Mount Holyoke College, where Lasya guided tours and provided tech support for virtual sessions, as well as engaging with prospective students. Lasya also held leadership roles, including Student Government Association President and MoZone Peer Social Justice Educator, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Additional internships include positions at the MIT Washington Office and The Rainwater Project, along with digital marketing experience at Safe N Happy Periods. Lasya earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Thought & Political Economy from Mount Holyoke College and is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
