Nate Bauer

Nate Bauer has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Nate is currently working as the Associate Director and Acquisitions Editor at the University Press of Colorado since July 2021. Previously, they held the position of Director & Acquisitions Editor at the University of Alaska Press from April 2017 to March 2022.

Prior to that, Nate worked at the International Arctic Research Center, where they served as the Science Communication Lead from October 2011 to July 2019 and as a Lecturer from August 2010 to December 2011.

Before their time at the research center, they worked at Pearson as a Technical Production Editor from August 2008 to July 2010 and at Precipio Technologies as a Publishing Editor and Office Manager from May 2007 to August 2008.

Furthermore, Nate gained valuable experience at The Office of Congressman Tom Osborne as a Legislative Correspondent, Systems Administrator, and Staff Assistant from August 2005 to January 2007.

Nate'scareer began at Boston College, where they worked as a Writing Instructor from August 2004 to May 2005. Before that, they were a Writing Center Tutor and Research Assistant at Creighton University from August 1999 to May 2003.

Nate Bauer has a diverse educational background. Nate obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Creighton University in 2003. Nate then pursued a Master of Arts degree in English at Boston College from 2003 to 2005. Continuing their education, Nate earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Capital Markets from the University of Alaska Fairbanks between 2010 and 2014.
