Rogers Besigye

Rogers Besigye is a skilled healthcare professional with extensive experience in tuberculosis (TB) and HIV management, as well as emergency medical care. Currently serving as a Regional Program Officer at University Research Co., LLC, and the Center for Human Services, Rogers provides technical assistance to health workers in military hospitals, ensuring they are equipped with updated information on HIV and TB management. Prior roles include training health workers for COVID-19 response at the World Health Organization and serving as a medical doctor and TB focal person at Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Uganda, where engagement in quality improvement projects for TB services was a key focus. Rogers also coordinated the DETECT CHILD TB Project with the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, mapping childhood TB burdens in Kabarole district. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Suffolk and an MPH from Clarke International University, along with degrees in Medicine and Leadership.
