Adam Blackman

Adam Blackman has extensive experience in leadership, writing, and education. Currently serving as the Director of the Houston Street Center at the University Settlement Society of New York since June 2022, Adam also works as an Acquisitions Editor for Cardinal Rule Press and maintains a self-employed writing career. Previous roles include Program Director at Refoundry and Civic Engagement Instructor and Teaching Artist at the Service Learning Project and 826NYC/Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company, respectively. Adam's earlier career included various management positions at Housing Works, where duties spanned from Director of Stores to Volunteer Program Coordinator. Adam holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Bowdoin College.
