Arman Sabbaghi

Arman Sabbaghi has a diverse range of work experience in the field of statistics and healthcare engineering. Their most recent position is as the Head of Clinical Methods at Unlearn.AI, where they began in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Biostatistics Research at the same company from January 2023 to February 2023.

Before their time at Unlearn.AI, Sabbaghi served as the Program Chair for the Section on Statistics in the Physical and Engineering Sciences (SPES) at the American Statistical Association (ASA) starting in August 2022. Arman also co-founded Araqev LLC in April 2020 and acted as the company's President.

Sabbaghi has spent a considerable portion of their career at Purdue University. Arman held several positions at the university, including being an Associate Member in the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering from June 2022 to December 2022. Arman was an Associate Professor in the Area of Applied Statistics from August 2020 to December 2022 and served as the Associate Director of the Statistical Consulting Service from January 2016 to December 2022. Arman began their tenure at Purdue University as an Assistant Professor in the area of Applied Statistics from August 2014 to July 2020.

Additionally, Sabbaghi was a Council Member for the Quality, Statistics, and Reliability (QSR) Section at INFORMS from January 2021 to December 2022. Arman was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley from September 2021 to May 2022.

Earlier in their career, Sabbaghi worked as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Statistics at Harvard University from January 2013 to May 2013, and again from July 2010 to May 2011. Arman also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematics at Purdue University from January 2009 to May 2009, and as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Statistics at Purdue University from August 2006 to May 2007.

Arman Sabbaghi's education history begins in 2005 when they enrolled at Purdue University. They pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics, graduating in 2009. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Harvard University where they obtained an AM degree in Statistics. Arman Sabbaghi continued their education at Harvard University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistics from 2011 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Arman Sabbaghi has received various certifications. In April 2016, they completed the Responsible Conduct of Research Training – Faculty, Postdoctoral, and Graduate Course provided by the CITI Program, a division of BRANY. They also obtained certifications in Group 1.Biomedical Research Investigators and Key Personnel and Group 2.Social Behavioral Research Investigators and Key Personnel in 2016.

Recently, in November 2020, Arman Sabbaghi obtained certifications in Export Controls-Initial Training from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY.
