Jonathan Walsh has a strong background in data science and research. Jonathan is the Founder and Head of Data Science at Unlearn.AI, where they focus on developing data products and teams. At Unlearn.AI, they built teams in data, applied ML, and stats and initially focused on ML research, software, and data science as part of the founding team. Prior to this, they worked at Leap Motion as a Data Scientist, where they developed machine learning tools for hand tracking and software infrastructure for training and analyzing statistical models. Jonathan also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley, conducting original research in theoretical particle physics and developing Monte Carlo simulation software for high energy physics collisions. Before that, they were a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington, where they performed original research in theoretical particle physics, developed novel data analysis algorithms using unsupervised machine learning techniques, and developed public code for analysis tools. Jonathan began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Chicago.
Jonathan Walsh has a solid educational background in the field of physics. From 2001 to 2005, they attended the University of Chicago, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the University of Washington from 2005 to 2010, successfully earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics.
