Svetlana Howard

Svetlana Howard has over 12 years of experience in the real estate industry. Svetlana currently holds the position of Head of Valuations at Unlock since March 2022. Previously, they worked for Kiavi from 2016 to 2022, where they held various roles. As a Director of Valuations, they successfully transitioned the Valuations team from the West Coast to the East Coast and collaborated with Risk & Data teams to identify valuations strategies. As a Sr. Manager of Valuations, they supervised a team and provided ongoing feedback to valuation analysts. As a Manager of Valuations, they guided and managed appraisers, developed and implemented performance metrics, and improved loans workflow. As a Valuations Operations Team Lead, they managed department operations and implemented process improvements. Lastly, as a Valuation Analyst, they analyzed property valuations and responded to questions and concerns. Before that, they were self-employed as a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and worked at County of Marin Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk's Office, Lee Appraisals, Mission Group Appraisal, and Airborne 1 Corporation in various roles related to real estate and data analysis.

Svetlana Howard obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a focus in Information Systems from San Francisco State University from 2011 to 2013. Svetlana then pursued further education in the field of real estate, earning a Real Estate Appraisal License from Allied Real Estate School from 2011 to 2012 and a Certified Real Estate Appraisal License from McKissock in 2015 to 2016.

In addition to their degrees, Svetlana obtained several certifications related to their field. Svetlana obtained a CA Residential Real Estate Appraisal License from The Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers in June 2013. In February 2016, they earned the CA Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser certification from the same institution. Svetlana also obtained a Property Tax Appraiser Certification from the California State Board of Equalization in July 2014.
