Nicholas George

Nicholas George is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international project management and communications, currently serving as the UNOPS Deputy Regional Director for Asia Pacific since August 2014. His portfolio includes roles as Country Director & Representative for UNOPS in Afghanistan, Head of the Washington Office, and Director of Partnerships. Prior to UNOPS, Nicholas held the position of Head of Communications at the United Nations Office for Project Services from May 2009 to June 2014 and served as a consultant for notable organizations such as The Daily Star and The World Bank. His journalism background includes roles as Nordic and Baltic Correspondent for the Financial Times and Chief Nordic Correspondent for AFX News. Nicholas holds a Master’s degree in Area Studies from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Modern History from The University of Manchester.
