Toni Villanen

Toni Villanen has extensive experience in risk management and consulting. Their most recent role was Chief Risk Officer at UNOPS, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Risk and Compliance at Majid Al Futtaim, and as a Director of Risk Advisory at Alvarez & Marsal. Toni also worked as a Group Risk Manager at Finnair and a Management Consultant at Deloitte. Before entering the consulting industry, Toni Villanen gained experience as a Project Manager in Enterprise Risk Management at Suomen Kaukokiito and as a Partner at ICM Finland Ltd. Toni started their career as a Consultant in the Financial Services Industry.

Toni Villanen has a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, which was obtained from 1999 to 2003. They also have a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Tampere, which was obtained from 2005 to 2010. Toni has participated in various exchange programs, including one at Fudan University in 2009, University of Hyderabad in 2008, Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business in 2007, and Budapest Business School in 2002-2003. In addition, Toni has completed non-degree studies in Enterprise Risk Management at the Institute of Risk Management from 2015 to 2016. They also have certifications in ISO 22301 Lead Implementer from PECB in 2016, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor from BSI in 2013, Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2012, Certification of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) from The Business Continuity Institute in 2011, and Certified Member of Institute of Risk Management (CMIRM) from the Institute of Risk Management. Toni has also attended the Leadership Development Programme at the London Business School in 2016.
