Sospeter Baitwa, MCIPS has a wealth of work experience in procurement, logistics, and operations management within various international organizations. Sospeter most recently served as the Head of Field Procurement and Logistics Office for UNRWA starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Regional Chief - Mission Support Center (MSC) for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) from 2018 to 2022.
In 2017, Sospeter worked as the Director of Operations for Mercy Corps, and in 2015, they served as the Director of Systems for Concern Worldwide, overseeing operations, logistics, administration, human resources, IT/communications, security, and financial coordination for the Concern Zambia Programme. Sospeter also held the role of Deputy Country Director in charge of operations and served as an Area Coordinator during their time at Concern Worldwide.
Sospeter's earlier experience includes working as a Logistics Manager for the Norwegian Refugee Council from 2014 to 2015, an Assistant Country Director - Systems for Concern Worldwide from 2009 to 2014, and a Logistics Manager for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) from 2000 to 2007. Sospeter began their career as an Assistant Camp Manager for GOAL Ireland in 1995.
Throughout their career, Sospeter has demonstrated expertise in the areas of procurement, logistics, operations management, administration, human resources, security, and financial coordination.
Sospeter Baitwa, MCIPS, received their first advanced diploma in Clearing and Forwarding from the Modern Commercial Institute in 2004. Sospeter then pursued a baccalaureate degree in Materials and Logistics Administration from Cambridge International College - Britain, which they completed between 2008 and 2010. Following this, Sospeter attended the University of Liverpool from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management.
