Unai Sacona

Unai Sacona has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of education and humanitarian organizations. Starting in 2003, Unai worked as a Programme Assistant intern at UNESCO before transitioning to roles at UNICEF and the Norwegian Refugee Council. From 2010 to 2019, Unai held various positions at UNICEF, including Education Manager and Chief of the Amazon Platform in Manaus. In 2019, Unai joined the European Commission as an Education Advisor until 2023, when they became the Deputy Director of Education at UNRWA.
