Brandon Shaw

Team Principal at UOW Motorsport

Brandon Shaw has diverse work experience in engineering and technical roles. Brandon began their career at UOW Motorsport, where they worked as a Low Voltage Team Member and later became the Low Voltage Manager. In these roles, they contributed to the development of an electric Formula Student race car and managed electrical systems. Brandon then progressed to become the Technical Director, responsible for the overall development of the race car and leading a team of undergraduate engineers. Brandon achieved notable results in the FSAE competition during their time as the Technical Director. Additionally, they worked as an Automation Engineer at Westpac, where they automated tasks using Microsoft Orchestrator and Windows PowerShell. Brandon also gained international experience as an intern at Heidelberg University, participating in scientific workshops and conducting experiments at the Physikalisches Institut. Currently, Brandon is pursuing opportunities as an Undergraduate Automation Engineer at Project Portfolio Management and as an IMTS Service Desk Officer at the University of Wollongong.

Brandon Shaw attended Magdalene Catholic College from 2012 to 2018. In 2018, they joined The Australian National University to participate in the National Youth Science Forum, focusing on Computer Science. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Scholar)(Mechatronics) and a Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Wollongong from 2019 to 2024.
