Joseph Swanson

Joseph Swanson's work experience begins with their current role at Upbound Group as Sr. Director - Strategy and Insights, starting in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Acima as the Director of Digital Product Management from October 2020 to June 2022. At Acima, they led the design and development of digital, mobile, and physical payment technologies, as well as overseeing customer experience and go-to-market strategies. Before that, Joseph worked at Rent-A-Center, where they held various roles such as Director of Strategic Sourcing from May 2018 to October 2020, Sr. Category Manager/Category Manager from June 2013 to May 2018, and Sourcing Specialist/Sr. Sourcing Analyst from February 2010 to June 2013. During their time at Rent-A-Center, they were responsible for strategic sourcing, cost containment, contract management, and leading initiatives to reduce ERP system costs.

Joseph Swanson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics & Management from Penn State University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained the following certifications: Six Sigma Yellow Belt from the University of Texas at Dallas in December 2014, and Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management in December 2013.
