Jaime Ochoa, LPC has a diverse work experience in various mental health and human services organizations.

Starting in 2014, they worked as a Behavioral Assistant at Positive Behavior Supports Corp., where they provided individualized services for clients with disabilities and behavioral challenges. Jaime was involved in implementing positive behavior support principles and practices.

In 2015, Jaime worked as a Mental Health Therapist (intern student) at Enfamilia, Inc., where they provided educational programs to migrant farm workers and low-income families to improve and preserve family life in South Miami-Dade County.

From 2016 to 2017, they served as a Clinician at BCFS Health & Human Services, a global nonprofit organization. Jaime provided a range of services, including medical sheltering, emergency management and response, residential care for abused or neglected children, vocational training for adults with disabilities, mental health services for children and families, and more.

Joining Southwest Key Programs in 2017, Jaime worked as a Mental Health Clinician for a period of six months, providing services to youth and families in innovative youth justice programs, safe shelters for immigrant children, and workforce services. In 2018, they assumed the role of Lead Clinician, further contributing to the organization's mission.

In 2019, Jaime became a Psychiatric Inpatient Therapist at Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, where they provided therapy services to patients in psychiatric inpatient settings.

Currently, Jaime works at Upbring as the Statewide Clinical Director for Foster Care & Family Services.

Jaime Ochoa, LPC obtained a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Albizu University - Miami Campus, completing their education from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. Jaime has also acquired additional certifications such as the Functional Assessment Rating Scale (FARS), CPR from the American Heart Association, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (Hipaa).
