Sumit Pandey

Sumit has over 17 years’ experience in renewables, infrastructure, finance and operations. He has successfully developed over 600 MW of solar projects across different parts of India.

Sumit has been associated with the utility scale Indian Solar market since its inception in 2010 and has deep understanding of the India solar ecosystem.

Prior to UPC, he was the Head of Project Development for Moser Baer Solar Projects (the oldest and amongst the largest solar developer in India).

Sumit was the Head of Strategy for Dell Computers in India and has also held operational roles in Dell International Services. Sumit has held positions in the project finance function of ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (India’s largest commercial banks) where he was responsible for appraisal and syndication for infrastructure projects.

Sumit is a graduate from NIT Trichy in Mechanical Engineering and holds a MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad
