Data Analyst, Customer Success at Uplevel

Matt Hoffman is a data analyst who has been working in the customer success department at Uplevel for the past year and a half. Prior to that, they worked as a staff scientist at Nion Co., where they collaborated with software engineers to develop new data acquisition, analysis, and visualization methods. Matt also worked directly with customers to implement new techniques, diagnose technical issues, and quantify performance.

Before their work at Nion Co., Hoffman was an adjunct faculty member at Seattle Central College, where they instructed three sections of introductory physics. Matt also designed curriculum and laboratory sections to challenge students with a variety of backgrounds and prior coursework.

Hoffman has also worked as a doctoral and postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Washington, where they conducted research in astrophysics. Matt also worked as an undergraduate student researcher at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, where they conducted research in physics.

Matt Hoffman has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Washington, which they obtained in 2014. Matt also has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Puget Sound, which they obtained in 2008. Between their undergraduate and graduate studies, they attended the University of Colorado Boulder for a year, but did not receive a degree.
