Sanjukta Shams

Sanjukta Shams has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sanjukta currently holds the position of Chief Impact Officer at Uplift Northwest starting from July 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Development at Attain Housing from November 2022 to May 2023. Sanjukta also worked as the Director of Philanthropy and Marketing at REST from May 2021 to September 2022.

Sanjukta has demonstrated their expertise in the field of development and philanthropy through their role as the Senior Development Manager at Per Scholas from April 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they led development efforts in both Dallas and Atlanta markets, managing a significant operating budget and actively addressing issues of racial and gender disparity in the tech industry.

Before Per Scholas, Sanjukta served as the Development Director at Collin County MHMR dba LifePath Systems from August 2012 to April 2019. Their responsibilities included building and maintaining relationships, enhancing philanthropic support, and implementing community programs.

Sanjukta's earlier experiences include their role as the Community Relations Manager at Family Gateway from October 2008 to August 2012, where they excelled in donor relations, client relations, event planning, communications, donor recognition, community relations, public speaking, and volunteer recruitment. Sanjukta secured substantial donations, organized donor-client interactions, and increased corporate contributions through strategic efforts.

Their career began as a Community Liaison at the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton County from 1999 to 2001.

Sanjukta Shams received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Agnes Scott College, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Sanjukta then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Religion from Florida State University, completing their studies from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Sanjukta Shams has also obtained certifications in the fields of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, as well as an Inclusive Mindset. These certifications were earned from LinkedIn in December 2022.
