Shaila Lakhani Ohri

Shaila Lakhani Ohri currently serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Uplight since May 2023. Prior to this role, Shaila held the position of Assistant General Counsel at Exelon from March 2016 to April 2023, where responsibilities included leading corporate innovation and managing complex commercial transactions, intellectual property agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. Shaila was a Fellow in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity in 2018, aimed at fostering diversity within the legal profession. Previous experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel at Pepco Holdings, Inc., Associate General Counsel at CapitalSource, and Attorney at Dyer Ellis & Joseph. Shaila began their legal career as a Law Clerk for Judge Herbert B. Dixon, Jr. Shaila received a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in International Relations and Political Science from American University.
