Shawn Platz

Shawn Platz is a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at UPM Raflatac since January 2014, with responsibilities that include completing mechanical projects, overseeing capital investment implementation, and troubleshooting major mechanical issues. Shawn develops preventive maintenance programs, communicates equipment changes to the maintenance team, and assists in reviewing Lockout/Tagout procedures. An Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and a qualified person in Fall Protection, Shawn also has a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Previously, Shawn gained experience as an Engineering Intern at UPM Raflatac in 2013. Shawn holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (2009 - 2013) and a high school diploma from Kiel High School (2005 - 2009).
