Ilkka Nurmi

Ilkka Nurmi has extensive experience in sourcing and procurement. Ilkka started their career at Nokia in 1994, holding various positions until 2002. From 2002 to 2005, they served as a Senior Manager in sourcing. Ilkka then became the Director of Mechanics Sourcing from 2005 to 2006, responsible for cost management, commodity management, and material planning. In 2006, they were promoted to the role of Director of Mechanics Sourcing, overseeing a team of 30 people and playing a key role in the development of material planning and logistic systems. In 2007, they joined UPM-Kymmene as the Sourcing Director and later became the SVP Sourcing.

Ilkka Nurmi completed their MSc in Industrial Economics, Materials, and Machine Construction from Tampere University of Technology between 1988 and 1993.
