Matthias Schleicher

Matthias Schleicher has extensive work experience in various industries. Matthias is currently the Director of Operations and a Production Manager at UPM - The Biofore Company. Prior to this, they worked at MINAFIN GROUP as a Technical Leader, responsible for managing the maintenance and engineering department to ensure the production of special chemicals. Matthias also worked at Dow in multiple roles, including Hydrocarbons Maintenance Productivity Group Leader, Hydrocarbons Reliability Manager, Improvement Manager/Project Manager, Senior Process Engineer, Improvement Engineer, and Project Engineer/Trainee. Additionally, Matthias has experience as a Production Leader at Etiquetas Paraguayas and COMFAR SAECA, where they led pharmaceutical production plants. Matthias also worked as a Process Engineer at NL stevia and as a Diploma Student at HAPILA GmbH. Earlier in their career, Matthias was an Environmental Health Safety Specialist at ARMOR and a Werkstudent at Aeronova GmbH.

Matthias Schleicher earned a Diplom in Chemieingenieurwesen from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. In 2006 to 2007, they also attended ESAIP, École Supérieure Angevine en Informatique et Productique, specializing in Ingenieur d´Environnement. Matthias Schleicher further obtained certifications as a Six Sigma MAIC Green Belt Project Leader in 2011 and as a Six Sigma MAIC Black Belt from Dow in 2015.
