Sylvan Brocard's work experience includes roles as an Application Engineer at UPMEM since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Leti from 2018 to 2020, focusing on full-quantum simulations of bismuth nanowire transistors and NEGF simulations. From 2011 to 2014, Sylvan was a PhD Student at Grenoble INP IMEP-LAHC, where they developed a full-quantum simulator for carrier transport in semiconductors and studied III-V materials and tunnel field-effect transistors. Sylvan also worked as a French teacher at Alliance Francaise from 2009 to 2010 and as a Research Intern at CEA in 2008. Sylvan's earlier experience includes an Electrical Engineering Internship at Atelier industriel de l'aéronautique de Clermont-Fd in 2007.
Sylvan Brocard's education history includes various degrees and certifications. Sylvan began their education in 2004 at CPGE Clermont-Ferrand, where they specialized in Mathematics-Physics in the elite section. From 2006 to 2011, they attended Ecole centrale de Lyon and obtained a degree in Engineering. During this time, the specific field of study is unknown. In 2008, Sylvan enrolled in Tohoku University and earned a Master of Engineering degree in Materials Science, which they completed in 2011. Following this, they pursued a Doctorat degree in Electronics at Grenoble INP - UGA from 2011 to 2014.
In 2021, Sylvan gained a Data +5 degree specializing in Data Science from Campus Numérique in the Alps. Additionally, they obtained a certification in the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in March 2021.
